Unify Sedona…a rainbow alliance is a bridge-building organization. Our intention is to create
opportunities for ALL members of the community to gather and embrace our uniqueness,
always recognizing that we are stronger together. We host events that provide a safe forum for
conversation and mutual understanding. We want to provide valuable, thematic educational
opportunities that honor the following four pillars relating to the LGBTQ+ experience: health
and aging, youth and education, discrimination, and transgender issues. All of our events focus on inspiring others to love more and judge less, affecting change locally,
which will inevitably affect change globally, hence meeting our mission: promoting tolerance
and celebrating diversity.

We, at Unify Sedona...a rainbow alliance, are mindful of the situation that many of our LGBTQ residents are facing: loss of work, worry about health for self or loved ones, and generalized anxieties. As a response, please refer to the offerings below and if needed, we are here for you.

Welcome To Unify Sedona!
It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to our Unify Sedona… a rainbow alliance website! We have formed a new non-profit to promote acceptance of diversity and to provide education for the greater community at large. Our board is comprised of people from all walks of life: gay, lesbian, straight and transgender.
Through education comes understanding that we are all much more alike than we are different. When we were approached by the Arizona Community Foundation to discuss building unity through diversity, we were energized. We wanted to come together to strengthen our community.
We are in a time of great change and want to promote positive momentum surrounding human rights. Following this premise, we have adopted the Four Pillars that the Arizona Community Foundation first shared with us when we were forming this alliance:

We are in a time of great change and want to promote positive momentum surrounding human rights. Following this premise, we have adopted the Four Pillars that the Arizona Community Foundation first shared with us when we were forming this alliance:
Nondiscrimination
In 32 states, LGBTQ people can be fired from their jobs, denied housing, and denied services based solely on sexual orientation or gender identity. We want to advance workplace equality and equal treatment in housing and public accommodations for LGBTQ individuals in Arizona. |
Youth and Education
We support organizations that address the direct needs of LGBTQ youth, who often face homelessness and, bullying and drop out of school at higher rates than their non-LGBTQ peers. |
Transgender Rights
Transgender individuals need a voice in Arizona and need to be not only understood, but included, ensuring they can live without fear of physical and emotional harm |
Health and Aging
There is continuing discrimination for the LGBTQ community in healthcare situations. This fear causes many to avoid seeking care. We want to support the lives of our aging communities from all walks of life. |
As you can see, we have some work to do. Please join us in our journey to make this world a better place under the Sun.
